Privacy
Mise has no accounts and asks for no names, emails or locations.
What is stored
- Food diary (log_calories): the foods, amounts, calories and dates you log, saved under a random diary_id. Anyone holding the diary_id can read that diary, so treat it like a password. Diaries expire 400 days after the last update.
- Meal plans, recipes and grocery lists are not stored; a plan_id just encodes the recipes and servings.
- Our host (Vercel) keeps standard request logs.
What is shared
- USDA FoodData Central: food names that are not in our catalog are looked up in the public USDA API.
- Kroger: when you open a checkout link and sign in to Kroger, the item names are searched in Kroger's product catalog and the matches are added to your Kroger cart. Mise uses the Kroger access token once for that and does not store it. The list itself is kept for 30 days so the link works.
